On January 1, 2018, a new Suffolk County law will go into effect, charging a five-cent fee for plastic and paper carryout bags, at a variety of retail stores. Those in support of the fee believe it will protect the environment. Those against view it as a tax that will hurt local businesses. Would you support Nassau County imposing a five-cent fee on plastic and paper carryout bags?

From a recent poll (see link below) 54% of LI'ers believe corruption is a "serious problem." Is it time for more serious investigation(s) by the state to investigate and remove politicians that are hurting the people and our economic welfare?

Nassau County Corruption

That's kind of funny actually. That's like a fox watching the hen house! Laughable. I don't know who's more corrupt, the State or the County....maybe it's a tie. We need more than an investigation. We need a total revamp - get the current deadbeats, phonies, thieves, liars and bums out and start fresh, with a new batch. LOL! As long as "Money" is the driving force of government, instead of integrity, honesty and good governance, you will always have the lunatics running the asylum.

Strong Gun Control Laws

When will it end? When guns are taken away from law-abiding citizens? We have seen more and more stricter laws placed upon "law-abiding" citizens over the past decade or so, yet gun violence by "criminals" has yet to diminish. There is a reason for that. Obviously, those who commit violent crimes and felonies using guns, are just that - criminals. CRIMINALS DO NOT ABIDE BY GUN LAWS WHETHER STRICT OR NOT STRICT, WHETHER MORE STRINGENT OR NOT STRINGENT!!!! Get it through your thick, liberal skulls--the only ones penalized or discriminated against by stronger gun laws are the law abiding ones. CRIMINALS DON'T ADHERE TO THE LAWS! WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!!!

Gun laws?

OK for whatever you think, the question was about corruption, unless you believe guns (what?) are involved????
